Kammuri Storm Effect, BMKG Gives Early Warning of Extreme Weather in Riau Islands

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) gave a warning of extreme weather in Riau Islands or Kepri.

Tarempa BMKG Class II Dudi Juhadinata said that local rain with heavy intensity at temperature of 25-31 ° C will still occur until Monday (9/12/2019).

He also said that early warning wave had been issued since 6-8 December 2019 there was Kammuri Tropical Storm 1004 hPa in South China Sea which had an impact on wave heights in North Natuna Sea region estimated to reach 6 meters.

While in the territorial waters of Anambas Islands and Natuna Islands the waves reach 4 to 6 meters.

From information gathered by Tribunbatam.id, the highest wind speed is monitored in northern Malacca Strait, North Sabang waters, Anambas Islands waters, Natuna, and northern Natuna Sea.
