Ring Solar Eclipse on December 26, 2019 Had been Lower the Earth's Temperature

Ring Solar Eclipse that occurred on (12/26/2019) indeed affect the earth's temperature but only temporarily.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Deputy Director of the Jakarta Institute of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (STMKG), Hendri Subakti said that the Ring Solar Eclipse that occurred on (12/26/2019) indeed affect the earth's temperature but only temporarily.

"This does affect the temperature of the earth, but it's only temporary," said Hendri to the reporters on the Engku Putri Plain, Thursday (12/26/2019). 

Hendri continued, it was caused by the phenomenon of the Ring Solar Eclipse which occurred only temporarily, lasting for two minutes at 12.24 to 12.26 in Batam City. 

Still according to Hendri's statement, this phenomenon also could reduce the temperature on the surface of the Earth during the Ring Solar Eclipse period.

"It only affects the temperature and the level of solar radiation. That's the only effect, nothing else," explained Hendri. 

In addition, this rare natural phenomenon only occurs between the periods of 18, 68 and 340 once a year, and this, according to Hendri, will not affect flights.
