RSBP Will Operate Conjoined Twins Baby in Batam, Assembled 30 Medical Teams
BP Batam hospital will perform conjoined twin baby operations in Batam. Various preparations have been made by his side to carry out twins operation.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - BP Batam hospital, Sekupang Batam will perform conjoined twins baby operations in Batam, they are the son of a Nongsa resident.
Iman Hadi, Public Relations of Batam Authority Hospital (RSBP) said that until now various preparations have been made by his side to carry out operation of the twins.
"We have done various preparations, it's just that, until now we are still constrained by cost issues," he said, Friday (1/17/2020).
Iman said to separate the two babies, it requires large fee.
"From the estimated cost, needs IDR 400 million," he said.
The baby born on December 7, 2019, the child of Suci Risky, a resident of Nongsa, is still taking care by hospital medical team.

Even to save the twins, there are at least 30 medical teams involved.
"Pediatricians, anesthetists, piston doctors and radiology teams, nursing teams, labor teams and central conjoined twins baby teams, as well as consultant doctors and other expert doctors," he explained.
Only one can be saved
conjoined twins baby will undergo a separation operation at BP Batam Hospital in Sekupang, Batam.
Unfortunately, if the operation is carried out, only one baby can be saved.
Head of Batam RSBP, dr. Sigit Riyarto MKes, Friday (1/17/2020) said that only one baby of conjoined twins could be saved.
"We will do separation, which can be saved only one baby. Because the heart and liver organs are only one. So it is not possible for both to be saved," he said.
He also said at this time the physical condition of conjoined twins was quite improved but still in medical treatment.
As for the body weight, it is sufficient weighing 3.4 kg.
