Riau Islands Still Safe from Corona Virus Outbreak

Previously, the current drop in Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) was called Wimboh because of negative sentiment caused by weakening movements in the capital market, due Corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak.

"The cause of index decline in the capital market is more due to negative sentiment," explained Wimboh.

According to him, the slowdown that occurred in the capital markets of all countries must be interrelated and eventually also affected Indonesian financial sector.

"Capital markets around the world are also interrelated, if one goes down, it will widen everywhere, including Indonesia," Wimboh said.

In dealing with the impact of Corona virus that slapped the stock sector, he said the government provided facilities through phase two fiscal and non-fiscal stimulus.
