Prevent Corona Virus, 7 Parks in Batam are Temporarily Closed

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Batam City Public Housing, Settlement and Parks Department (Disperkimtan) closed 7 park locations in Batam City as an effort to prevent the spread of Corona virus or Covid-19.

The temporary closure of several park locations is also a direct direction from Mayor of Batam in the appeal letter No. 110 of 2020.

Head of Batam City Disperkimtan, Yudi Tias said the appeal had been forwarded to the public through an announcement banner that was installed at each park location.

Effective temporary closure will be carried out starting Saturday (3/21/2020).

Here are 7 park locations in Batam that have been temporarily closed due to Corona virus:

- Kebun Raya Batam, Nongsa

- Taman Kolam, Sekupang

- Taman Wijaya, Sei Harapan

- Taman Gajah Mada, Sekupang

- Taman Cemara Asri

- Taman Bulu Hang Tuah, Baloi

- Taman Mustika Alam, Batam Kota

All community and traders are expected to no longer enter the park area in the future.

The aim is to prevent transmission of Corona virus outbreak.

Yudi also asserted, his party would mobilize officers from Disperkimtan to guard and patrol regularly around the park during the closure.

"Why do we write 'temporary closure', because it is still uncertain when the location of the parks will be opened again. According to the situation and conditions," said Yudi.

Not only closing seven park locations, Disperkimtan also tried to do a total cleaning of these locations.

At present, rotating disinfectant liquid has begun to be carried out at the location of the park.
