START Today, Tuesday (3/31) Batam Hang Nadim Airport Stops Disinfectant Spraying Booth

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Batam Hang Nadim Airport stopped the spraying booths for disinfectants starting today, Tuesday (3/31/2020).

This news was also justified by Director of Hang Nadim Airport Business Agency (BUBU) Batam, Suwarso.

"Yes," he said briefly when contacted by TribunBatam on Monday (3/30/2020) night.

Even so, Suwarso has not revealed the reason for the dismissal of booth used to spray prospective passengers as well as officers at this airport.

Allegedly, spraying this disinfectant can cause irritation to the skin, mouth and eyes.

Not only that, it is known that spraying can cause long-term effects in the form of cancer on the skin.

Previously reported, Batam Hang Nadim Airport tightened supervision at the arrival and departure gate of passengers.

This tightening is an effort to prevent Covid-19 from and out of Batam through Batam's Hang Nadim Airport.

Hang Nadim Airport Batam installs disinfectant sprayers and thermal scanners at the arrivals and departures of Batam's Hang Nadim Airport.

The Director of Batam Airport Business, Information and Communication Technology Agency for Business (BP) Batam, Suwarso said the installation of disinfectant devices, thermal scanners on arrival and departure was done on Sunday (3/29/2020).

"That tool belongs to the Port Health Office (KKP), one from International Business Association (IBA)," he said, on Monday (3/30/2020).

Later the passengers who arrive, must undergo a temperature check first.

Then enter the disinfectant spraying room.

That was to break the chain of Covid-19 spread.

Suwarso also appealed to the public or Batam Hang Nadim Airport users to comply with existing regulations.
