Students of SMKN 4 Batam Only Need 30 Minutes to Produce 1 Liter of Hand Sanitizer

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  Students of SMK 4 Batam did not take a long time to make hand sanitizers which had begun to be difficult to find since the Corona outbreak.

It only took half an hour, a number of vocational school students in Batam were able to make a one-liter hand sanitizer.

The making of the hand sanitizer was done by students together with Chemistry teachers. The head of the chemistry department, Hary said, the manufacturing process still followed WHO standards. 

The making of hand sanitizers is only produced for internal schools.

"WHO standard means that the general public cannot try to make it, let alone use chemicals. While the marketing authorization must also pass the test from the Ministry of Health," he said after handing hand sanitizer assistance to the Riau Islands Provincial Government, Wednesday (04/08/2020).

He said, making this hand sanitizer was the first thing done by the students of SMKN 4 Batam.

They agreed to help the government, especially when the coronavirus outbreak reached the Riau Islands province.

"Even though it's the first time, we are ready to produce again if there is a request from the government. It is also possible that it will be marketed if we have obtained a permit," he said. (Tribunbatam.id/Endra Kaputra)
