TRIBUNBATAM.id - The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic made the food and beverage (f&b) business affected. The turnover of businesspeople in this sector is declining as many people choose to stay at home.

Data analyst of Moka, Hutami Nadya said, from a total of 15,000 to 20,000 outlets registered on her side, around 37 percent of her income fell.

"From the data we have collected, there is 37 percent whose turnover has decreased but there are also merchants whose business has actually increased," she said in live streaming on Wednesday (4/15/2020).

Hutami said, there are several ways that the merchant can still survive, even her turnover has increased amid the corona pandemic. 

First, use a delivery service. According to her, the existence of this service can help consumers or buyers get the desired product in the midst of this virus.

"People will definitely prefer at home because of this pandemic so when we have this service our business can continue to survive," she said.

In addition, do not forget to create occasional inter-service promos, such as free postage promos. 

Second, provide a menu of raw materials or ready to cook. Nowadays the behavior of many people because of Work from Home (WFH) who feel bored, more and more choose to cook for themselves.

"It could be an option for us, one of the menus that we sell will be changed in the form of raw materials that are ready to be fried," she continued. 

Third, make a package such as buy one get one, for example one of the menus sold is combined specifically to be given to an online motorcycle taxi.
