Central Government has temporarily suspended commercial flights starting Friday (4/24/2020). So, do those rules also apply in Batam? Here's the answer
TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - As of today, Friday (4/24/2020), Central Government has temporarily suspended commercial flights for domestic and overseas (International).
The temporary ban on commercial flights will be enforced until June 1, 2020.
So, do those rules also apply in Batam?
When confirmed TRIBUNBATAM.id, Director of Hang Nadim Airport Business Agency (BPUB) and Information Technology, Communication BP Batam, Suwarso claimed not to have received official notification regarding the temporary dismissal of commercial flights.
"We have not received official rules related to that," he said via a cellular connection on Thursday (4/23/2020).
He said flights at Hang Nadim Airport in Batam had recently declined.
The decrease was due to Covid-19 pandemic which is currently outbreaks in Indonesia where the total of flights at airport dropped dramatically. (TribunBatam.id/Alamudin Hamapu)
