A Family in Karimun Positive of Covid-19, Total Cases in Riau Islands Reaches 60 People

TRIBUNBATAM.id, KARIMUN - Riau Islands Covid-19 Task Force Team released the addition of three new Covid-19 cases originating from Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province, Tuesday (4/28/2020).

With the addition of these three cases, currently the total number of Corona virus cases in Riau Islands has reached 60 cases.

Three new cases of Covid-19 positive patients in Karimun District were one family.

They are fathers (50 years old) or called patients 03, mothers (47) or patients 04 and daughter (15) or patients 05.

These three people are included in the cluster of transmission from pesien 02 who are male and 90 years old.

Patient 02 is the father of patient 04, father in law of patient 03 and grandfather of patient 05.

Patient 02 previously came from Kampar District, Riau Province, on March 26, 2020.

He arrived in Karimun and lived in his son's family home, patient 03.

For the positive status of Covid-19, 02 patients were identified last week.

While the PCR results of patients 03, 04 and 05 came out on Tuesday (4/28/2020) morning.

Besides patients 03, 04 and 05, another family member was also sampled for PCR.

But the results were found negative.

"PCR results of one 90-year-old grandfather cluster are 3 positive people and 1 negative person.
