Citilink Stops the Regular Flights in Batam Starting on Friday 5/15, What's Wrong?

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The airline Citilink Indonesia has again stopped its regular flights in Batam City.

This termination will start from the 15th to the 31st of May 2020.

Even this news was confirmed by the Director of Hang Nadim Airport Business Agency (BUBU) Batam, Suwarso. 

But Suwarso did not explain why the regular flights were stopped by Citilink Indonesia. 

This news is clearly shocking. Because the information about the termination was announced a few days after Citilink resumed operations last Friday (05/08/2020).

Previously, the operations of all airlines were temporarily suspended by the government in order to minimize the spread of Covid-19.

The first day since flying again, last Friday (05/08/2020), the Citilink Indonesia airline only carried 4 passengers.

Both flights from Jakarta to Batam, or vice versa.

There was no response to the lack of flight activity at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport. 

However, BUBU Director Hang Nadim Batam, Suwarso ensured there was no increase in tariffs on all airlines even though they were forced to operate in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
