Access to Lingga Will Open Again, Batam Punggur Port Has Not Received Official Letter

Lingga Regency Government reportedly will start reopening people's access to the area. Until now it had not received an official letter from Lingga.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Lingga Regency Government reportedly will start reopening people's access to the area.

Previously, Regional Government restricted the entry and exit of people except goods.

Opening restrictions on the person is planned to begin in early June 2020.

Tribunbatam.id confirmed, Head of Telaga Punggur Domestic Port Syahbandar Post, Batam, Komaruddin on Friday (05/29/2020) stated that until now it had not received an official letter from Lingga Regency related to opening people's access to the district.

"Batam goes to Dabo for information on June 1, 2020, but so far there has been no official letter notification," he said.

Komaruddin continued, the fast ferry operators who used to serve the route also had not conveyed the news related to it.

"Ship operators also have not coordinated related to the ship will operate again," he said.

He stated that until now the operating port of Telaga Punggur is the Batam route to Tanjungpinang and Batam to Tanjunguban.

"Batam to Tanjungpinang is currently operating every 2.5 hours," he said.

As for passengers, he admitted that it was still quiet and there had not been an increase in the number of passengers traveling.

"For Tanjungpinang and Uban, it is still very quiet. The trip ranges from around 40 people more or less each departure," he explained.

Komaruddin said, if the news related to the re-operation of the ship destined for Dabo Singkep, Lingga Regency was true, his party was ready to facilitate this.
