TRIBUNBATAM.id -  The New Normal policy in Batam which will start on June 15, 2020, is expected to make the economic sector in Batam City run as it was before.

With the implementation of this policy, houses of prayer, places of business, and tourist attractions can eventually carry out operational activities again.

As a result, several food courts and restaurants in the Nagoya area, Lubuk Baja District, Batam City, such as Morning Bakery, Foodcourt A2, and Nagoya Foodcourt seemed quite crowded with customers approaching this New Normal

Based on the observation of the Tribun Batam reporter, all the tables available at Morning Bakery precisely in the Windsor area have been filled by visitors since 11:00 WIB, Sunday (5/31).

Not only that, at least 6 visitors also appeared to be queuing in the cashier area to buy bread.

The atmosphere of Morning Bakery before lunch seems quite crowded.

Even so, health protocols are still applied in the restaurant area. All employees on duty have been wearing full masks, and there are many appeals for washing hands before ordering food.

The same conditions appear in the Nagoya Foodcourt, this dining place is also filled with visitors. The Foodcourt area is somewhat larger than the Morning Bakery (Windsor) restaurant, but almost all the tables are filled with four to six people.

A number of employees on duty have worn visor caps, masks, and complete gloves to comply with health protocols.

In addition, according to Nagoya Foodcourt Operations Manager, Chandra, a hand-sanitizer has also been provided at several points of the food court area for visitors.

However, in terms of the cleanliness of the food court area, he has guaranteed the hygiene of the eating places.

In the morning before opening at 6:00 a.m., the food court area is always cleaned and sprayed with disinfectant.

In addition, Nagoya Foodcourt has also limited operating hours and tenants who sell. For operational hours, Nagoya Foodcourt is only open from six in the morning until six in the afternoon.

Whereas tenants open are only about ten.

Going forward, on June 16, 2020, Nagoya Foodcourt plans to change operating hours from 06:00 WIB to 22:00 WIB, with an additional appeal for visitors to keep wearing masks, washing their hands and keeping their distance. (Tribunbatam.id/Hening Sekar Utami)
