Ahead of New Normal in Batam, the International Port is Still Quiet, Harbor Bay hasn't Operated yet

Harbor Bay Port Batam is observed to be still not operating, Sunday (6/7/2020) 

TRIBUNATAM.id, BATAM - Ahead of New Normal in Batam, activity at the international port was still quiet.

In fact, Ferry in Harbor Bay port, Batu Ampar District, Batam, is still not operating on Sunday (06/07/2020).

The port in the Harbor Bay Mall area stopped operating.

The Harbor Bay Mall lights are off, in addition, the port arrival gate is also locked and chained.

Ning, one of the employees explained that the port and Harbor Bay mall were still closed. 

"June 15, 2020, is likely to be operational again, but, there is still no certainty," Ning said on TRIBUNBATAM.id, Sunday (07/06/2020)

Within the Harbor Bay Mall area, there is only 1 outlet still in operation.

Because there is no activity at the port of Harbor Bay Mall, it is utilized by a group of teenagers and families to take photos in the motorcycle parking area.

On the day before the Covid-19 pandemic, many shops or outlets that were normally open now closed.

Activities at Batam Center International port are only on the first floor. As for floors 2 and 3 there is no activity at all, even the escalator is off.

Batam Center International Port closes at around 16:00 WIB. 

Saiful, one of the passengers from Malaysia who is an Indonesian citizen admitted that he went to Batam because he wanted to meet his brother.
