TRIBUNBATAM.id - Deputy Chairman of the Riau Islands DPRD, Dewi Kumalasari, also felt that the electricity bill had swelled this month. 

In fact, she claimed her electricity bill had doubled. 

This was stated in the Public Hearing Meeting (RDP) with PT PLN (Persero) Tanjungpinang Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3), Tuesday (6/6/2020). 

She said the increase in electricity bills in June 2020 rose by 100 percent. Even though in the previous months the bill was only Rp 3.5 million. 

She conveyed, in the current condition, it was really a concern of the community. PLN's socialization was also felt to be very lacking. 

There was a different scene during the Hearing Meeting (RDP) about complaints of PLN electricity bills in the Multipurpose Room on the 3rd Floor, Kepri DPRD Office in Tanjungpinang, Tuesday (06/09/2020).

Usually, RDP held by people's representatives runs without security. But not this time.

TRIBUNBATAM.id observations, seen dozens of police officers seemed to stand guard in the front yard of the Riau Islands DPRD office.

Not only that, the water cannon vehicle and two vehicles belonging to the police were also parked.

Tanjungpinang Deputy Police Chief, Commissioner Agung Gima Sunarya said, it was in the form of providing security and comfort in the RDP event.

Reportedly, the Riau Islands Regional Representative Council (DPRD) held a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the Management of PT PLN (Persero) Tanjungpinang Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3), Tuesday (9/6/2020). 

The RDP is related to complaints about rising electricity tariffs that have been protested by many people. 

A number of Head Offices and DPRD members in the Districts of Bintan and Tanjungpinang were also present.
