TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - During Covid-19, Malaysian Government only allowed certain visa holders to enter the country.

According to Head of Batam Center Port, Deni Cahyadi, his party has obtained coordination from the State Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) Malaysia related to the arrangement of Person Under Surveillance (PUS) and quarantine mechanism in Malaysia.

At present, only those who hold a Permanent Residence (PR) Visa, Dependant Visa, MM2H visa, Diplomat Visa, and Expat Visa can only enter the country.

The permanent Residency is a permit in a country, while the Dependant is a residence permit for relatives (wife or children) of people who already have a residence permit in Malaysia first.

For example, if a husband works in Malaysia and has a permanent residence permit, then he can arrange permission for the Dependant, like relatives such as his wife and children who live outside the country of Malaysia.

In addition, Royal Malaysian Government has also issued  Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program, which allows foreigners to obtain a residence permit in Malaysia with certain criteria.
