14 Days of Artificial Rain Performed in Batam, Water Levels in 4 Reservoirs Begin to Increase

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Weather Modification Technology (TMC) has been held for 14 days since last Thursday (06/11/2020).
During this time, cloud seeding activities carried out almost every time began to look quite significant impact in achieving its main objectives.
Initially, BP Batam did initiate the application of this technology in order to increase the availability of raw water that is accommodated in reservoirs, specifically Duriangkang Dam and Mukakuning Dam.
Because, the potential for a water crisis is in sight before this dry season.
Therefore, TMC is one way to increase the reservoir elevation level again.
"The hope is from BP Batam, so that the elevation of the reservoir to normal.
If the Dam is Damaged it is expected to have a minimum of 1 meter delta," said Sutrisno, TMC Batam Field Coordinator, Wednesday (06/24/2020).

As a result of this technology, since the beginning of TMC's activities, counted almost every day the reservoirs have increased water levels.
As from Thursday (6/11/2020) to Wednesday (6/24/2020), Dam elevation reached 37 cm, meanwhile Mukakuning dam rose 46 cm, Sei Harapan dam increased 83 cm, and Nongsa dam increased 35 cm.
"When asked about effectiveness, what is clear is that there is an increase every day," explained Sutrisno.
