TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government again announced the latest information related to the number of cases and patient data of Covid-19 on Wednesday (07/15/2020) this afternoon.

According to Government Spokesperson for Corona Virus Handling, Achmad Yurianto, there is still coronavirus transmission in the community, which causes the Covid-19 cases to continue to grow. 

Based on data entered until Wednesday at 12.00 WIB, it is known, there are as many as 1,522 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The addition caused the Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to reach 80,094, starting from the first case announced by President Joko Widodo on March 2, 2020. 

This information was delivered by Yurianto in a press conference from Graha BNPB on Wednesday afternoon. 

A total of 1,522 new cases were obtained after examination of 24,871 specimens of 15,491 people a day.

With notes, one person can undergo specimen examination more than once.

Now there are 1,122,339 specimens from 657,655 people examined. 

Data of patients who recovered and died

During the same period, an additional 1,414 recovered Covid-19 patients were recovered.

They were declared cured after two polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests that showed negative coronavirus results.

Thus, a total of 39,050 patients are now considered cured of Covid-19 and are no longer infected with the coronavirus

However, Achmad Yurianto still conveyed sad news related to the presence of Covid-19 patients who died in the last 24 hours.

In the period 14-15 July 2020, there were 87 Covid-19 patients who died.
