UPDATE Covid-19 in Riau Islands, Pandemic Has Not Eased But There Is No Surge for New Cases

Even though Covid-19 exposure trends in Riau Islands have not yet been completed, the trend has been positive and there has been no surge in new cases. 

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Even though the trend of Covid-19 exposure in Riau Islands ( Kepri) has not yet been completely resolved, it has begun to subside.

The Task Force did not record a surge in new cases such as when Corona entered Riau Islands in early 2020.

This can be seen from the update of Riau Islands Covid-19 Task Force on Tuesday (7/21/2020) which recorded total of positive cases reaching 345 people.

Of these 302 patients were declared to have recovered.

Currently there are 26 Covid-19 patients still being treated, including those undergoing quarantine.

The number is spread in 7 regencies / cities in Riau Islands and two clusters.

In Batam City there were 269 patients with 25 active cases, Tanjungpinang 29 patients with active cases 2 and Bintan in total 8 patients without active cases.

While in Karimun there were 6 patients without active cases and Lingga 1 patients without active cases.

Then for the Kelud cluster there were 29 patients, Sabuk Nusantara cluster 3 patients and Natuna-Anambas without Covid-19 case.

Meanwhile, the Task Force recorded the number of patients in Oversight (PDP), Insider Monitoring (ODP) and Unauthorized Person (OTG) somewhat fantastic.

There are currently 1,053 PDP, 8,948 ODP and 11,323 OTG.

Of these 91 PDPs are still under surveillance and 962 completed.

A total of 375 ODP are also still being monitored and 8,573 completed in monitoring.

The 108 OTGs are still being monitored and 11,215 have been monitored.
