Affected by Covid-19, Government Prepares IDR 14.9 Billion to Help 8.010 MSMEs in Batam
Batam Government prepares 14.9 billion to focused on improving the economic sector, particularly in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Additional Regional Incentive Funds (DID) received by the Batam Government of 14.9 billion will be focused on improving the economic sector, particularly in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
To encourage this economic improvement, the government is trying to create programs with the additional budget available.
Previously, the Office of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises (DKUM) had recorded the number of MSMEs affected by Covid-19.
This data collection was carried out in 12 sub-districts in Batam City, and as a result, there were around 8.010 micro business operators affected.
Some of them experienced a turnover, employee reduction, asset sales, and business closure.
"Yesterday there was data, there were 8.010 micro businesses affected," said Head of Batam City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Agency (DKUM), Suleman Nababan.
Now, the DID received by Batam City Government has been decided to be used to provide capital assistance to the thousands of affected MSMEs that have been recorded.
