TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 Handling Task Force provides updated information on the development of cases and patients infected by the coronavirus in Indonesia.
After yesterday the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia exceeded 100,000, now the number has again increased due to the coronavirus transmission.
This information was delivered directly by the Covid-19 Task Force through the Covid19.go.id site seen by Kompas.com on Tuesday (7/28/2020) afternoon.
Based on data entered until Tuesday, 12.00 WIB, a total of 102,051 cases of Covid-19, counted since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020.
The number was due to the addition of 1,748 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
A total of 1,748 new cases were obtained after examination of 22,563 specimens from 15,222 people sampled.
A total of 1,417,322 specimens have been examined from 823,168 people sampled.
That is, one person can undergo a specimen examination more than once.
Data of patients who recovered and died
The same data also shows that there were 2,366 additional Covid-19 patients recovering.
They were declared cured after two tests using the polymerase chain reaction method showed negative coronavirus results.
Thus, a total of 60,539 Covid-19 patients were considered cured and were no longer infected the coronavirus.
However, there is still sad news that comes related to the addition of Covid-19 patients who died.
