TRIBUNBATAM.id - Officers from BP Batam sterilize the Sei Temiang area in Sekupang.
In this place, a number of Security Directorate (Ditpam) personnel cleared the catchment area.
They cut down, digging until leveling down the flow of water.
By using simple tools, such as hoes and machetes, Ditpam personnel along the forest area in Sei Temiang Sekupang.
They took this action to ensure and guarantee the ability of water supply in the Sei Harapan reservoir, Sekupang, totaling 3600 million liters per cubic.
The Assistant Manager of the Dam and Catchment Area, BP Batam Business Assets Agency, Maerobi, said the activity was a routine activity for the continuity of reservoir water supply in Batam.

"Today we are doing maintenance to the catchment area, of course, to increase the Sungai Harapan reservoir inflow," he said, Friday (7/31/2020).
In addition, maintenance is carried out to ensure the reliability of the production capacity of 210 liters per second of reservoir water supply.
Maerobi urged small water managers such as taking water inflow in the catchment area of the reservoir, to coordinate with the reservoir management first. (*)
