The Cluster of Kundur Police Chief Increased, Kundur Island in Karimun became Red Zone

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Karimun Regency Government, Riau Islands (Kepri) determined Kundur Island as the Covid-19 Red Zone after the discovery of a number of positive cases there.

Karimun Regent, Aunur Rafiq said, Kundur Island would be designated as the Covid-19 red zone, this was because the number of positive confirmed cases on the island continued to grow.

"I will immediately issue a circular regarding the prohibition of organizing mass gathering activities in Kundur," said Rafiq by telephone, Wednesday (12/8/2020). 

In addition to the prohibition on gathering activities, Rafiq also said that he would also close all schools for approximately two weeks.

Rafiq admitted that the increase in confirmed positive cases of corona was a cluster of the Kundur Police Chief, Commissioner Endi Endarto and the Governor of Riau Islands, Isdianto.

Previously, as many as six residents of Karimun Regency were confirmed positive for Covid-19.

The six people are known to be a cluster from the Kundur Police Chief, Commissioner Endi Endarto and the Kepri Governor Isdianto. 

The six people included two clusters from the late Kundur Police Chief, Commissioner Endi Endarto, two clusters from 07 Covid-19 patients and two clusters are from the Governor of Riau Islands, Isdianto. 

Meanwhile, Head of the Karimun Health Department, Rachmadi, said that the four people who tested positive were from the Tanjungbatu cluster or the late Kundur Police Chief, Commissioner Endi Endarto. 

Meanwhile, the other two patients were from the Tanjungpinang cluster or the Governor of the Riau Islands, Isdianto. 

"Four patients are from the Tanjungbatu cluster, while the other two patients are from the Tanjung Pinang cluster," he said. (*)
