Passengers get a discount by paying only 75 percent of the basic fare.
However, the promo is for purchasing non-economy Class tickets.
This special promo is valid for the trip period from 17 August 2020 to 31 September 2020.
"With the theme 'Semarak Harga Merdeka Hemat Tiket Pelni 75 Persen', customers only need to pay 75 percent of the basic tariff for Pelni Ship passengers for non-economy class trips," said Yahya in a written statement, Thursday (13/8/2020).
This 75 percent payment promo of the basic passenger ticket price is given to customers who make non-cash ticket payments using a debit card or credit card at the time of purchasing tickets at branch counters.
"This promo is given to customers to increase non-cash purchases so that in this new normal adaptation, Indonesians will get used to implementing cashless payments in every transaction," said Yahya.
Customers can buy Pelni Ship tickets at the nearest branch counter with the requirements that must be met.
The requirements for purchasing tickets are in accordance with the Covid-19 Task Force Circular Number 9 of 2020, namely by showing personal identity and PCR test certificate with negative results.
In addition, evidence of a rapid test with non-reactive results is valid for 14 days.
In addition, prospective passengers must also show an official travel assignment letter or in and out letter from an area at certain ports.
The company also appealed to all customers to always implement health protocols while on board.
"Passengers are required to wear a mask while on the ship and apply health protocols, and always maintain a distance or physical distancing with other passengers," said Yahya. (*)
