TRIBUNBATAM.id - The number of positive Covid-19 patients who have been declared cured is increasing. 

Until Tuesday (18/8/2020) at 12.00 WIB, the Indonesian government noted that 96,306 patients had recovered from Covid-19. 

From the data that the Covid-19 Handling Task Force shared with journalists on Tuesday afternoon, an additional 1,848 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. 

They were declared cured twice after being tested negative for the corona virus based on the results of examinations through the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method.

Unfortunately, data from the government also shows an increase in the number of patients who have died.

It was recorded that 70 people died, bringing the total to 6,227 people.

Then, the government announced that there were 1,673 new cases, compared to data on Thursday (12/8/2020). 

This number adds to the accumulated number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 143,043 cases, since the announcement of the first cases on March 2, 2020.

The number of suspected Covid-19 cases recorded as of August 13 was 78,349 cases. (*)
