"Once again, I want the governors to pay attention to things related to maintaining distance, washing hands, not crowding, not overcrowding, this must be repeated, especially with regard to wearing masks," said Jokowi through the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel.
"This must be conveyed continuously. Masks are the main key before vaccination is carried out. This is the most important," he said.
To that end, he asked governors, regents and mayors to keep repeating messages to the public to wear masks while in public spaces.
He also asked all regional heads to apply strict sanctions for people who do not wear masks in public spaces.
Jokowi continued, the campaign to use masks must be carried out, down to the lowest level.
"It reaches the villages. Involve community leaders, involve PKK, involve RT and RW. I think you all really understand this," said the President. (*)
