TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia ran for exactly six months today, Wednesday (2/9/2020), starting from the announcement of the first patient being infected with the coronavirus on March 2, 2020.
However, until now there have been no signs of decreasing corona virus transmission. The government even shows data that the number of Covid-19 cases is increasing.
Based on government data as of this Wednesday at 12.00 WIB, there have been a total of 180,646 Covid-19 cases in Indonesia since the beginning of the pandemic.
This number was due to the addition of 3,075 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
This information was revealed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data submitted to journalists on Wednesday afternoon.
Data can also be accessed by the public via the Covid19.go.id website, which the government updates every afternoon.
Specimen data
Meanwhile, as many as 3,075 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after the government examined 31,001 specimens a day.
During that period, 21,508 people were sampled for specimen examination.
The number of specimens examined exceeded the target set by President Joko Widodo, which is 30,000 specimens examined in a day.
In total, the government has examined 2,301,268 specimens from 1,333,985 people sampled.
This means that one person can undergo specimen examination more than once.
Although the number of Covid-19 cases continues to increase, the government is trying to raise hope by revealing that more and more patients are recovering after being infected with the corona virus.
Within a day, it was known that 1,914 patients recovered after being exposed to Covid-19.
