Batam Residents, Starting Today (9/9), Not Wearing Masks Will Get Fines of IDR 250,000
Residents who violate health protocols such as not wearing masks will be subject to sanctions. Based on Batam City Government regulation ( Perwako).

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Batam City Government regulation ( Perwako) number 49/2020 on health protocols came into effect on Wednesday (9/9/2020).
Residents who violate health protocols such as not wearing masks will be subject to sanctions.
Since it was first promulgated, Batam City Government ( Pemko) has carried out the socialization of the Perwako in the community.
This Perwako 49/2020 outreach activity has been carried out by Satpol PP personnel, and Batam City Government OPD ranks in accordance with their respective fields.
Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, always reminds Batam City residents to implement health protocols, especially after the Regional Representative Council is actively run on Wednesday.
"This is solely for the safety of all of us. So, apply health protocols so you don't get sanctioned," said Rudi, Tuesday (9/8/2020).

The regulations that must be carried out by individual communities are wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands, and avoiding crowds.
If they violate, the offending community will receive sanctions in the form of an oral or written warning, social work for 120 minutes, or a monetary fine of IDR 250 thousand.
Meanwhile, business actors who do not prepare facilities and infrastructure to support health protocol will be subject to gradual sanctions in the form of:
First offense
Oral or written warning.
Second offense
temporary suspension of business operations for 3 days or a fine of IDR 500 thousand for schools, places of worship, public transportation, pharmacies and street vendors; IDR 1 million fine for offices, cafes / restaurants, and sports facilities; and a fine of IDR 2 million for industries, terminals, malls, hotels, tourist attractions and health facilities.
