BMKG Weather Forecast for Wednesday 9th September, Batam & Tanjungpinang Potentially Rain

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency ( BMKG) released its weather forecast for today, Wednesday 9 September 2020.

Today's weather forecast are includes in Riau Islands ( Kepri) area.

Information received by Tribunbatam.id, in general, the weather conditions in Riau Islands are predicted to be cloudy and have the potential to rain on Wednesday (9/9/2020).

This is as predicted by Batam Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency ( BMKG).

"The rain that occurs is predicted to have light to moderate intensity, which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in the morning and afternoon," said BMKG Batam Forecaster on duty, Addini Siti Novitasari.

This is because the air humidity is high enough to support the formation of rain clouds in Riau Islands region.

The air temperature in Riau Islands ranges from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with wind speeds ranging from 5 to 30 kilometers per hour, and humidity of 70 to 97 percent

Meanwhile, regarding the potential for high waves in Riau Islands, BMKG did not issue a warning.

From the data obtained by Tribunbatam.id, waves reaching 1 meter are predicted to occur in the waters of Bintan, Tanjungpinang, Lingga, and Anambas.

Meanwhile, the waters of Batam, Karimun, and Natuna only reach 0.8 meters.
