In the last month of data compiled by KSOP, the number of international shipping passengers during August was only 77 people from two-country voyages.
For the number of passengers, he said, sometimes it only carries 2 to 10 people.
"The data is as of August, for this month it is still being recapitulated. But it is likely that it will decline further because shipping to Malaysia is closed to foreigners," he said.
Even though it is closed for foreigners, he said that there are still shipping to Malaysia.
"There are still ships operating, running once every 2 days, and even then only a few people. As for Singapore, there are 2 cruise trips," he said. (blt)
