Over Capacity, RSBP Batam Take Cares of 21 Patients Who Confirmed Covid-19 Positive

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Corona virus disease ( Covid-19) patients in Batam City have increased again.

Not only from ordinary citizens, a number of medical teams were exposed to Corona.

The patients were treated in a number of hospitals in Batam.

One of them is at Batam Business Agency Hospital ( RSBP).

Public Relations of RSBP Batam, Okta Reza said, currently there are 28 Covid-19 patients being treated at RSBP Batam.

Of that number, 21 patients were confirmed positive and 7 were suspected patients.

They were treated in the isolation room of RSBP's Emerging Infectious Diseases (PIE) building.

"Today there are a total of 28 patients who we treat, of which there are several probable people undergoing treatment in the ICU," he said, Tuesday (9/15/2020).

He said the number of patients had exceeded the hospital's over capacity.

"There are 21 of our confirmed patients, the more we continue to have Covid-19 patients at this time. Even the room for suspected patients was changed to a confirmation room," he said.

Previously, RSBP prepared an isolation room for 32 Covid-19 patients.

16 of them are for suspects and 14 places for positive confirmation of Covid-19, and 2 for the ICU room.

But now the number of patients continues to grow.

Okta appealed to everyone to adhere to health protocol rules and follow government recommendations.

"For every RSBP visitor, they are still encouraged to pay attention to each other so they are not careless in implementing health protocols," he said.
