Batam Adds 32 New Cases of Corona Virus, 14 of which are Private Employees

The Batam City Covid-19 Task Force Team found 32 additional new Covid-19 cases. Here are the details.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The Batam City Covid-19 Task Force Team found 32 additional new Covid-19 cases.

The addition of this new case is based on the results of the BTKL-PP Class I Batam swab test.

The new cases add to the list of Covid-19 cases in Batam City to 1,607 cases. 

A total of 32 new cases consisting of 22 men and 10 women residents of Batam City have been treated at several referral hospitals. 

A total of 27 patients of whom were treated at the Galang Covid-19 Hospital, 1 person at Embung Fatimah Hospital, 2 people at Elizabeth Batam City Hospital, 1 person at RSBP Batam, and one toddler was isolated independently with his parents.

Meanwhile, patients also come from different professional backgrounds. 

Most of the patients were classified as asymptomatic, namely 21 patients, while the suspects were 7 and probable were 4.  

These findings suggest that there is still the possibility of new cases from existing clusters or new findings in Batam City. 

For this reason, the Head of the Batam City Covid-19 Task Force Health Division, Dr. Didi Kusmardjadi, always urges the public to follow Government regulations in implementing health protocols. 

"Always keep your distance, wear a mask, wash your hands with soap and running water, stay at home, eat nutritious food, and exercise regularly," said Didi. (Tribunbatam.id/Hening)
