Hang Nadim Airport Batam Has Not Opened International Flights Yet
Since Covid-19 Pandemic, the number of flights at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport has drastically decreased. Until now there are no international flights.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Since Covid-19 Pandemic, the number of flights at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport has drastically decreased.
The decline occurred on both domestic flights and international logging.
"Until now there are no international flights," said Director of Airport and Telecommunication Information Communication Batam International Airport Hang Nadim Suwarso, on Saturday (3/10/2020)
Before Covid-19 Pandemic, according to Suwarso, Batam's Hang Nadim Airport usually served international flights to Subang Jaya, Johor Malaysia.
"And like Batam China flight yesterday before Covid-19 Pandemic it is a charter flight," he said.
Suwarso said that in May 2020 there was a Charter Flight to Vietnam.

"Yesterday it was the expatriate's return, so there was a plane from Vietnam that picked it up directly," he explained.
Meanwhile, domestic flights have not increased significantly.
Departures and arrivals at Hang Nadim Airport still range from 2000 to 3000 people.
Whereas for normal days before the pandemic, passengers at Hang Nadim Airport in Batam ranged from 6000 to 7000. (Tribunbatam.id/Alamudin)
