TRIBUNBATAM.id - The number of active cases of Covid-19 that are still being treated in Bintan is only 14 cases.

This can be seen from the special report on the handling of Covid-19 in Riau Islands Province, Thursday (29/10/2020). 

The data noted, of the total 208 Covid-19 cases, 189 cases were declared recovered.

Meanwhile, 5 cases were declared dead. 

Regarding the handling of Covid-19, since the beginning of the pandemic in Bintan, it has been carried out by the Regional Government and a number of stakeholders in Bintan

The Bintan Health Department continues to invite and urge the public to always apply health protocols when doing activities outside home. 

To reduce the number of Covid-19 cases distribution, the government through the Health Department also continues to monitor the situation of the Covid-19 case in the community.

If anyone is infected with Covid-19, their party will immediately handle and carry out tracing of residents and families who have direct contact with Covid-19 patients. 

In fact, to handle Covid-19 cases that have experienced a surge, the referral hospital at Raja Ahmad Tabib Tanjungpinang Hospital is a place for quarantine for Covid-19 patients who do not experience symptoms from Bintan

The Riau Islands Provincial Government through the Bintan Regency Government has also provided a quarantine place at the Riau Islands Province Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP) Dormitory located in Ceruk Ijuk Toapaya, Bintan Regency. 

Until now, Bintan health Department continues to supervise and handle the Bintan people who are exposed to Covid-19.
