Batam Immigration Office Continues to Serve the Community during the Covid-19 Pandemic

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM -  The Class I Immigration Office specifically for the Batam Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) continues to serve people who want to apply for passports in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Batam TPI Class 1 Special Immigration Office, Ibnu Ismoyo, when met by Tribunbatam.id, Wednesday (18/11/2020).

Ismoyo said that his party is still trying to exist, including through services in the emergency period (Immigration of Emergency services). It is known that during the pandemic there was a lock down policy for public service offices. 

Here, the Class 1 Batam Immigration Office still serves local areas such as Batu Ampar Harbor, and several other local ports. For example, passports for seafarers are still provided online service.

"Not only that, we still prioritize services for people who are sick during the pandemic," he said. 

It also does not only serve the community during working hours. For collective passport services, this is not limited to working days or holidays. 

Furthermore, his party will respond and will serve specifically in each agency according to health protocols.

In addition, if there is a passport that is lost or damaged, it will process it on the same day.

Furthermore, Ismoyo appealed to the Batam people to support the bureaucratic integrity zone at the TPI Batam Immigration office. 

"Support our work unit, so that Immigration can provide good services to the people of Riau Islands, especially Batam," he concluded.
