Campaigning in Sagulung Batam, Ansar Ahmad Promises to Control Goods Prices

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Candidate for the Governor of Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad said, the prices of goods in the free trade zone (FTZ) areas such as in Batam, Bintan and Karimun must be strictly controlled. 

Do not let the businessman take double profits because of the FTZ facilities provided. 

This was emphasized by Ansar Ahmad when he held a campaign at PJB II Sagulung Housing, Batam City, Sunday (29/11). 

"FTZ must provide maximum benefit to the community. Do not let this facility be used by businessman to seek double profits," said Ansar.  

According to Ansar, in the current situation of the Covid 19 pandemic, the government must ensure that people can get affordable prices for goods and basic necessities.

"Don't let the community get into trouble twice because of this pandemic," said the former Regent of Bintan for two periods.

Therefore, if he is elected Governor of the Riau Islands, Ansar will strictly control the prices of goods and the prices of basic necessities. 

He will form a special team that will work to monitor the distribution and prices of goods from upstream to downstream.

"The tight supervision will make it easier for people to get basic necessities at low prices," he concluded.
