Earthquake with a Magnitude of 5.3 Shakes a Number of Areas in NTT

TRIBUNBATAM.id - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 shook a number of areas in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Friday (25/12/2020).
Head of the East Sumba Geophysical Station, Arief Tyastama, explained that the earthquake occurred at 18:40 WIB.
Earthquake shocks were felt in Waingapu, Waibakul, Labuan Bajo and Tambolaka.

The location of the earthquake was located at 9.22 degrees south latitude and 119.74 degrees east longitude.
The epicenter was 47 kilometers northeast of Waibakul City, Central Sumba Regency, NTT. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 29 kilometers.
Arief said that the earthquake had no potential for a tsunami.
Until now, there has been no report on the impact of the damage caused by the earthquake. (*)
