6,045 People Leave Batam in Two Days Via Hang Nadim Airport

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Within two days, the number of passengers leaving Batam still dominates at Hang Nadim Airport. 

Hang Nadim airport noted, starting from January 29 to 30, 2021, the number of passengers leaving Batam was 6,045 people. 

Meanwhile, the number of passengers entering Batam City was 5,681 people. 

"On January 29, there were 52 flights, either coming or leaving. Then January 30, there were 56 flights," said Director of Hang Nadim Airport Business Entity (BUBU) and Information Communication Technology, Amran, Sunday (31/1/2021) . 

So far, he continued, there hasn't been a significant increase in the number of flights at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport.

Likewise, the number of passenger traffic tends to be stagnant. 

Therefore, he hopes, the increase in the number of passengers will return to normal if the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic continues optimally. 

In addition, Amran admitted that the implementation of the rapid antigen test and PCR test was another factor in the decline in the number of passengers. 

However, he welcomed the implementation of the test. 

This, he said, was solely for the common good. 

"Rules are an effort to control. If the control is loose, the potential for spread will be greater," he concluded.
