TRIBUNBATAM.id - Covid-19 transmission still occurs in the country until Wednesday (17/2/2021).
In the last 24 hours, government data shows, there were 9,687 new cases.
That way, overall, Indonesia has 1,243,646 positive cases during the 11 months of the pandemic or in the period March 2, 2020 until today.
This information is based on data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force which was distributed to journalists on Wednesday afternoon.
Of the total positive confirmed cases, 1,047,676 patients have been declared cured.
When compared with data on Tuesday (16/2/2021), the number of recovered patients increased by 8,002 people.
They were declared cured based on an examination using the polymerase chain reaction method which tested negative for the coronavirus.
Based on these data, Indonesia currently records 162,182 active cases.
Meanwhile, active cases are patients who are still undergoing treatment or independent isolation. (*)
