UPDATE April 9, 2021: Increasing 5.265 People, Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Reach 1.558.145

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 pandemic has never ended in Indonesia. This can be seen from the daily Covid-19 cases and the number of deaths which are still increasing. 

Based on data compiled by the government, until Friday, (4/9/2021) at 12.00 WIB, it showed that there were an additional 5,265 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 

This addition causes the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to currently reach 1,558,145 people. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force to reporters on Friday afternoon. 

The same data also shows that there are additional patients recovering due to Covid-19. Within 24 hours, the number increased to 6,277 people.  

Thus, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in Indonesia to date has reached 1,405,659 people.

However, the number of patients who died after being exposed to Covid-19 also continues to grow. In the period of April, 8 to 9, 121 Covid-19 patients died. 

Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 reached 42,348 people since the beginning of the pandemic. 

With this data, currently there are 110,138 active cases of Covid-19. 

Active cases are patients who are still confirmed positive for the coronavirus, and are undergoing treatment in hospitals or independent isolation. (*)
