UPDATE: Add 5,647 People, Indonesian Covid-19 Cases Reach 1,697,305

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The transmission of the coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2, which causes the Covid-19 disease, continues to occur in all provinces in Indonesia. 

This can be seen from the daily Covid-19 cases, death rates, and use of intensive care rooms in hospitals that have increased in the last few weeks. 

Data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force until Thursday, (5/6/2021) shows that there were an additional 5,647 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 

The additions have caused the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia now reach 1,697,305 people. 

The same data shows, there are additional patients who have recovered due to Covid-19. Within a day, the number increased by 5,440 people.

Thus, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in Indonesia to date has reached 1,552,532 people.

However, the number of patients who died after being exposed to Covid-19 also continues to grow. 

In the period 5-6 May 2021, 147 Covid-19 patients died.

Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 has reached 46,496 people since the beginning of the pandemic.

With this data, there are currently 98,277 active cases of Covid-19. (*)
