TRIBUNBATAM.id - If you are planning a vacation to Mount Bromo to welcome the new year 2022, you must comply with the applicable regulations.
One of them is limiting the number of visitor quotas that may enter the Mount Bromo area during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is all done to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Even though people have been vaccinated, prevention must still be done.

Mount Bromo Tourism Quota during the 2022 New Year Holiday
The number of visitors to Mount Bromo tourism that may enter is based on the carrying capacity, visitor capacity, and social distancing regulations.
The following are the tourist quotas for Mount Bromo during the 2022 new year holiday:
- Climbing: 222 people per day.
- Kedaluh Hill (Kingkong Hill): 107 people per day
- Love Hill: 31 people per day
- Mentigen: 55 people per day
- Savanna and Sea of Sand: 319 people per day

Not Affected by the Eruption of Mount Semeru
For additional information, the eruption of Mount Semeru on Saturday (12/4) didn't affect tourism in the Mount Bromo area.
The status of Mount Bromo after the eruption of Mount Semeru is level II which means alert.
Therefore, the situation is still under control and visitors can still enter the mountain area.
However, there are other regulations that must be obeyed based on recommendations from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) of the Bromo Volcano Observation Post after the eruption of Mount Semeru.
The regulation is that people around Mount Bromo and tourists are not allowed to enter the area within 1 km radius of the active crater of Mount Bromo.
The surrounding community, ranging from hawkers, tourists, climbers, and tour managers of Mount Bromo are also advised to be aware of sudden phreatic eruptions without being preceded by volcanic symptoms.
