List of Countries Prohibited from Entering Indonesia related to Omicron

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government has again updated the list of countries that are currently prohibited from entering Indonesia in order to anticipate the transmission of Omicron.
Through the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Circular Number 1 of 2022 signed by the Head of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Lt. Gen. Suharyanto on January 4, 2021, the government noted that foreign nationals (WNA) from 14 countries were prohibited from visiting Indonesia.

The details of the 14 countries are:
1. South Africa
2. Botswana
3. Norway
4. France
5. Angola
6. Zambia
7. Zimbabwe
8. Malawi
9. Mozambique
10. Namibia
11. Eswatini
12. Lesotho
13. English
14. Denmark
The prohibition targets foreigners from the prohibited countries, then foreigners who either directly or transit in 14 prohibited countries, and foreigners who have lived and/or visited the 14 countries within a period of 14 days.

However, Indonesian citizens from these 14 countries are still given the opportunity to enter Indonesia on condition that they show a negative RT PCR result taken within a maximum period of 3 x 24 hours, and are required to continue a centralized quarantine for 10 days.
Meanwhile, travelers other than those 14 countries are required to quarantine for 7 x 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health noted that the total Omicron cases in Indonesia now reached 254 cases as of Tuesday (1/4).
