TRIBUNBATAM.id - Good news has come for the Riau Islands region, especially Batam and Bintan.
Especially for these two areas, foreign tourists from Singapore can already enter with the application of the travel bubble.
This regulation began today, Monday (24/1/2022), and was immediately announced by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.
Airlangga said there are several requirements that foreign tourists need to meet when visiting Batam and Bintan.
This requirement is regulated in Circular Number 3 of 2022 concerning Health Protocols for Overseas Travelers, the Travel Bubble Mechanism in the Batam and Bintan Regions, with Singapore during the Covid-19 Pandemic Period.
Later, foreign tourists can only enter Batam through the Nongsapura International Ferry Terminal, and undergo a travel bubble at Nongsa Sensation, Batam.

As for tourists from Singapore who enter Bintan, they must go through the Bandar Bintan Telani Ferry Terminal, and stay in the Lagoi Bintan Resort area, Bintan.
"The travel bubble in Batam Bintan was issued by the SE Task Force on health protocols, where the entrance to the PPLN for the travel bubble is Nongsapura in Batam and the Bandar Bintan Telani Ferry Terminal in Bintan," he explained.
In addition, tourists have received a complete dose of vaccine (two doses) at least 14 days before leaving, showing a negative PCR test whose sample is taken a maximum of 3 × 24 hours, e-HAC registration, and showing a visit visa.
"Having a visa unless a Singaporean citizen is part of ASEAN, must continue to be monitored and have insurance ownership of 30,000 Singapore dollars, and use the Pedulilindungi and Bluepass applications," explained Airlangga.
On the other hand, tourism area managers are required to form a Covid-19 Task Force whose Circular (SE) or Governor's Regulation (Pergub) has been prepared.

"Then hotel managers and places that have met the CHSE are prepared and coordinated by the Covid-19 Task Force in the region," said Airlangga.
He said the government took this option to encourage tourism activities in the two areas.
"The government is encouraging the travel bubble between Batam, Bintan and Singapore to encourage tourism activities in Batam and Bintan," Airlangga said at a PPKM press conference, Monday (1/24/2022).
