TRIBUNBATAM.id, NTB - The Mandalika 2022 MotoGP is only 18 days away.

For this reason, all relevant ministries and institutions are currently making final preparations to support facilities and infrastructure during the event, as well as regarding ticket sales.

Deputy for Tourism Products and the Creative Economy of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) Rizki Handayani Mustafa said his party was running various promotional programs, including compiling travel packages with ASITA and local industry players in NTB.

So that tourists who come later will not only watch world-class motorcycle racing events, but also carry out tourism activities, especially to various destinations on the island of Lombok.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the NTB Province, Lalu Gita Ariadi, said that the Mandalika MotoGP audience capacity, which had been reduced to 60,000 from 100,000, would not be a problem.

Gita revealed that MotoGP ticket sales are still far from the target, but the NTB Provincial Government has also initiated other strategies such as facilitating bookings for residents collectively through the provincial, district or city offices.

Then, giving a special price for people who have an NTB Resident Identity Card of 10 percent before tax, and limiting the highest price for hotel rates in the NTB Province through a Governor Regulation.

It is targeted that through this strategy, there are 35,000 Mandalika MotoGP spectator tickets that can be sold.

Previously, there had been an MoU signing between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and Dorna Sports to organize MotoGP in Mandalika.

The MoU was signed by Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno and Carlos Ezpeleta as Managing Director of Dona Sports.

It is hoped that the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP will be a breath of fresh air for economic activities, especially in the tourism sector and the creative economy for the local community.
