Here are The Complete Quarantine Rules from Overseas and Arrival Flow that You Need to Know

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government has renewed the entry requirements for overseas travelers or called PPLN, in line with the issuance of the latest regulations, namely the Covid-19 Task Force Circular No. 12 of 2022, which takes effect on Tuesday (3/8/2022). 

One of the provisions contained in the SE is related to the quarantine period for PPLNs who come to Indonesia

It was stated that PPLN who had received the second dose of vaccine or booster dose were sufficient to undergo health monitoring, or quarantine for 1 x 24 hours.

Meanwhile, PPLNs who have just received the first dose of vaccine must undergo quarantine for 7x24 hours. 

PPLN's latest quarantine rules

The following are the details of the latest quarantine rules for overseas travelers entering Indonesia.

After the RT-PCR retest upon arrival, the PPLN must be quarantined with the following conditions:

- Quarantine for 7 x 24 hours for PPLN who have been vaccinated with the first dose.

- Quarantine for 1 x 24 hours for PPLN who have been vaccinated with the second or third dose.

- For PPLNs under 18 years of age, the duration of quarantine follows the provisions applied to their travel companions.

- For PPLN conducting centralized quarantine at their own expense, they are required to show proof of payment confirmation for booking quarantine accommodation while staying in Indonesia

Centralized quarantine provisions

The following are the provisions for PPLN undergoing centralized quarantine: 

- For Indonesian citizens (WNI), namely Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), students who have completed their studies abroad, government employees returning from official trips abroad, or Indonesian representatives in international competitions or festivals, undergo centralized quarantine with costs borne by the government in accordance with the Decree of the Head of the Task Force. - Indonesian citizens outside the criteria mentioned previously, must undergo quarantine in a centralized quarantine place at their own expense.

- For foreigners, especially foreign diplomats outside the head of the foreign representative and the family of the head of the foreign representative, undergo quarantine in a centralized quarantine place at their own expense. 

Rules at the entrance of foreign arrivals

All PPLNs, whether Indonesian citizens or foreigners, who enter the territory of Indonesia through foreign entry points must follow the following rules:

- Comply with health protocols set by the government.

- Show a card or certificate (physical or digital) of the second dose of Covid-19 vaccination at least 14 days before departure.

- Shows a negative RT-PCR result in the area of origin taken a maximum of 2 x 24 hours before departure, and attached at the time of the health check or e-HAC International Indonesia.

- The second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination card (physical or digital) is written in English, in addition to the language of the country of origin.

- Indonesian citizens who have not received the vaccine abroad will be vaccinated at the quarantine place upon arrival in Indonesia after the second RT-PCR examination with negative results.

- Foreigners who have not received vaccinations will be vaccinated at the quarantine place upon arrival in Indonesia after the second RT-PCR examination with negative results, provided that they are 12-17 years old; holders of diplomatic residence permits and official residence permits; holders of limited stay permit cards (KITAS) and permanent residence permit cards (KITAP).

- Foreigners who are in Indonesia and will travel, both domestically and internationally, are required to vaccinate through a mutual cooperation scheme in accordance with applicable regulations. 

Exception showing Covid-19 vaccination card

The obligation to show a Covid-19 vaccination certificate is excluded for: 

1. Foreigners holding diplomatic visas and service visas related to official state visits of foreign officials, ministerial level and above.

2. Foreigners who enter Indonesia under the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) scheme.

3. Foreigners who have not vaccinated and intend to travel domestically and continue with international flights outside the territory of Indonesia, are allowed not to show a Covid-19 vaccination certificate as long as they do not leave the airport area while waiting for an international flight to be followed, but with the following conditions: 

- Has been permitted by the local Port Health Office to carry out domestic trips, with the aim of being able to continue their flights out of Indonesia.

- Shows the schedule of flight tickets outside Indonesia for direct transit from the departure city to the final destination of the destination country.

- PPLN under 18 years old.

- PPLN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent them from receiving vaccines, with the requirements, namely to attach a doctor's certificate from a government hospital.
