TRIBUNBATAM.id, MANDALIKA - The number of passengers at Lombok Airport, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has increased to 11,400 people per day, in conjunction with the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP event on March 18-20.

To note, the international motorcycle racing event, also known as the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, is located at the Mandalika Circuit or Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit.

"There is an increase in passengers at Lombok Airport at this time," said Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I (AP I), Lombok International Airport, Arif Haryanto, Saturday (3/19/2022). 

The Mandalika MotoGP audience started arriving two days ago.

Arif explained, on Thursday (3/17/2022), the number of passengers at the airport was recorded at up to 8,200 people.

This number consists of 6,000 arriving passengers and 2,200 departing passengers.

"Meanwhile, on March 18, there were 11,400 passengers, with details of 8,900 arriving and 2,500 departing," he added. 

For information, Lombok Airport operates 24 hours to support the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP event.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I, Lombok International Airport, Nugroho Jati, explained that his party had prepared infrastructure, including the terminal runway for parking areas and entry and exit areas, as well as parking management management.

"Every day there is an increase of 100 flights arriving and departing. An increase of 120 percent during this MotoGP event," said Nugroho.
