Tips to Visit the Indonesian Batik Museum in TMII, Make an Appointment First

TRIBUNBATAM.id -   The Indonesian Batik Museum in the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area, East Jakarta, has been officially opened to the public since its soft launch on Wednesday (10/12/2022), coinciding with Indonesian Museum Day. 

Coordinator of the Indonesian Batik Museum, Archangela, said the construction of this museum was a follow-up to the government after Indonesian Batik was listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage on October 2, 2009. 

For those of you who want to visit this museum, consider the following guidelines.

1. Make an appointment via Instagram

For now, the management has not set an entrance fee for visitors to the Indonesian Batik Museum, aka free.

However, anyone who wants to come is encouraged to make an appointment through the Indonesian Batik Museum Instagram account.

Furthermore, visitors can also participate in batik for free.

This activity is carried out on request.

2. Opening hours and access to public transportation

The museum is open every day, starting at 09.00 WIB until 15.00 WIB to receive the last visit.

Regarding access to public transportation, you can take the KRL and stop at Cawang Station.

Next, from the Cawang Station stop, take the TransJakarta bus number 7D (Kampung Rambutan), and stop at Green Terace 2.

From the Green Terace 2 point, you can continue to use an online motorcycle taxi at a rate of IDR 15,000, or walk about two kilometers to the Indonesian Batik Museum.
