TRIBUNBATAM.id - Malaysian Diraja Police called Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) Johor held a meeting with Kapolda Kepri, at Mapolda Kepri, Nongsa, Batam, Tuesday (3/9/2019).
Chief Commissioner of Police Johor Malaysia, Dato Mohd Kamarudin Bin MD, was welcomed directly by Riau Islands Police Chief Inspector known as Kapolda Kepri Irjen Pol, Andap Budhi Revianto.
Accompanied by a number of key officials or pejabat utama (PJU) Riau Islands Police called Polda Kepri.

Purpose of this meeting between two institutions is to exchange information in handling crimes between countries, especially in the border waters.
"We held a friendly meeting, discussed and exchange information of crime topics between countries," Andap said.
At the meeting Andap said, there were three things that were discussed, including, the handle of illegal Indonesian Migrant Workers called Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI), narcotics and protection of Indonesian migrant workers.
Hopefully, with their meeting, this three points can reduce the crime rate.
And can increase cooperation in the field of handling transnational crime.

"We put more emphasis on handling migrant workers and narcotics. In essence, we want to increase the eradication of crime between countries," Andap said.
Meanwhile, Dato Mohd Kamarudin Bin MD revealed same thing and agreed to increase cooperation in the field of handling transnational crime.
"Hopefully this friendship can strengthen and enhance cooperation that has been done so far," he said.
Meeting between PDRM and Polda Kepri was not the first one. Previous years they also have been held this kind meeting.
