TRIBUNBATAM.id - The struggle of doctors in Indonesia in the midst of the Covid-19 Pendemi cannot be underestimated.
Some of them even died from contracting the virus.
In a note from the Indonesian Doctors Association, at least 24 doctors died while serving against Covid-19.
The Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) rate, the death of medical personnel in handling the Covid-19 issue is a warning alarm that must be responded immediately by the government.
"One by one medical personnel who died while handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia became an alarm for professional organizations and also the government," IDI Public Relations Officer Halik Hakim told Tribunnews on Sunday (5/4/2020).
Until now, Halik said PB IDI had received reports of 18 medical doctors who died from Covid-19.

Meanwhile, there were six reports of dentists who died from Covid-19. "If totaled together with dentists, a total of 24 doctors have died," he said.
Halik revealed professional organizations and governments must conduct further searches related to risk factors and their causes.
Halik also expressed his gratitude to a number of parties who participated in assisting the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel.
Halik rate, what is needed now is the solidarity of all lines.
"The current solidarity is needed to get together with us to solve this coronavirus outbreak faster so that victims do not increase anymore," he said. (*)
